Java Architect

Job Title: Technical Architect – JAVA

Location: Atlanta, GA Full-Time Unit: Public Services

Lead technical architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale enterprise Java applications for a state government workforce agency.

Define microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Ensure system security, scalability, and compliance with government frameworks (NIST, FISMA, Section 508).

Oversee database design (Oracle/PostgreSQL), middleware integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.

Mentor development teams on design patterns, code reviews, and performance tuning.

Requires 10+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years as a Java Technical Architect.

Must be eligible for government background check; public sector experience strongly preferred.
