Position: Interior Draftsman

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Industry: Construction / Interior Fit-Out / Contracting

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interior Draftsman to join our contracting team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed interior shop drawings and coordinating drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines for interior fit-out and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed interior drawings including layout plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), elevations, and sections.

• Develop joinery shop drawings and detailed interior fabrication drawings.

• Prepare material and finishes schedules as per project specifications.

• Coordinate interior drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, consultant comments, and site conditions.

• Revise drawings based on consultant feedback and site requirements.

• Assist project teams in resolving drawing-related issues during construction.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Drafting, Architecture, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in interior drafting, preferably within contracting or fit-out companies.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Working knowledge of 3Ds Max.

• Experience with V-Ray rendering.

• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.

Technical Knowledge

• Interior layout plans.

• Reflected ceiling plans (RCP).

• Interior elevations and sections.

• Joinery detailing.

• Material and finishes schedules.

• Coordination with MEP, architectural, and structural drawings.

Preferred

• Experience working on UAE interior fit-out or contracting projects.

• Ability to work under project deadlines and coordinate with site teams.
