Analytical Research & Development (R&D) Intern (Summer 2026)

Pay: $22-25/hour
Position Overview
PAI Pharma is seeking a motivated and curious AR&D Intern to support ongoing analytical research and development projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to a wide range of analytical activities supporting pharmaceutical product development.
Unlike narrowly scoped internships, this position offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple active R&D projects, providing a dynamic and immersive learning experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with analytical testing and method development activities
• Support ongoing R&D projects across the AR&D team
• Learn and apply analytical techniques and instrumentation under supervision
• Accurately document experimental procedures, data, and results
• Follow all SOPs, cGMP requirements, and data integrity standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
• Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams
Key Projects
• Contribute to multiple active R&D projects based on current team priorities
• Support analytical efforts tied to product development and testing
• Assist in data generation, analysis, and reporting across various studies
Learning Objectives
Through this internship, the selected candidate will:
• Gain hands-on experience in analytical method development and testing
• Develop familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and techniques
• Learn how analytical data supports pharmaceutical product development
• Build skills in scientific documentation and data analysis
• Experience working in a collaborative R&D environment
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field
• Strong interest in analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical R&D
• Basic laboratory skills and understanding of scientific principles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing project needs
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior laboratory or research experience
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, etc.)
• Interest in pursuing a career in Analytical R&D or Quality
