Job Description

Position: Fiber Splicer Technician II / III

Rate: $26–$35/hour + $200/day per diem

Duration: 6 month Contract to Hire

Location: New Albany, OH

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to support a data center build in New Albany, OH. The role is ideal for experienced, travel ready fiber technicians who enjoy fast paced, large scale environments and are open to long hours and rotating shifts. Strong performers will have the opportunity to convert to full time after the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform single fiber and ribbon fusion splicing and terminations

• Conduct OTDR and power meter testing; identify and resolve failed fibers

• Install fiber and copper cabling with minimal supervision

• Read and interpret construction prints and data center standards

• Complete accurate testing documentation and labeling

• Work safely in live data center environments

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of fiber splicing (fusion and ribbon required)

• Experience with OTDR and power meter testing

• Ability to work 12 hour shifts, days or nights, with rotating schedules

• Open to up to 7 days/week and extended hours

• Data center experience strongly preferred

• Able to pass background and drug screening
