Job Description

Position Overview:

Hurricane Boat Lifts is seeking a dependable CDL Delivery Driver to transport boat lifts to our dealer network throughout Florida. This position is focused strictly on safe and efficient transportation—drivers are not responsible for loading or unloading materials. The role requires flexibility, as schedules are not consistent and are typically confirmed the day prior to each delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a Ram 4500 truck with a 24-foot trailer to deliver boat lifts

Follow a color-coded delivery list to ensure accurate and efficient routing

Contact customers prior to arrival to provide an estimated time of delivery (ETA)

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on schedule

Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding delivery status and any delays

Keep accurate delivery records and required documentation

Requirements:

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) required

Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety

Experience towing and maneuvering a 24' trailer

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions

Comfortable working with a flexible, non-consistent schedule

Availability on short notice, as routes are confirmed the day before

Good communication skills for customer interaction

Working Conditions:

Travel throughout Florida delivering to dealer locations

Variable schedule with no guaranteed set hours

Driving in varying weather and road conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in regional or route delivery driving

Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance
