Day-to-Day:

Supervise & Mentor: Manage daily workflow, train staff, and ensure your team is proficient and confident.

Technical Oversight: Monitor performance specifications, initiate preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot non-conformances.

Quality Assurance: Act as the final gatekeeper for test system performance, ensuring results are only reported when everything is perfect.

Compliance Leadership: Keep the lab audit-ready by ensuring full compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

Required Skills:

Credentials: A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Lab Science (or Medical Technology) and a valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.

Expertise: Deep knowledge of lab operations, LIS software, and biosafety protocols.

Leadership Style: A "coach" mentality—the ability to develop others while thriving under pressure.

Certification (Preferred): ASCP or AMT certification is highly regarded.
