**5 YEARS CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE AS A SUPERINTENDENT REQUIRED FOR A COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR **

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Construction Field Superintendent to oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management tools. This role involves managing daily operations on-site, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering projects on time, within scope, and to client specifications.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.

Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Adhere to a detailed project schedule using Procore.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control standards are met and work complies with blueprints, schematics, and contracts.

Oversee safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations; enforce safety policies among all personnel on site.

Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents necessary.

Coordinate with the PM to maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, change orders, RFIs, and other project records.

Lead team meetings to communicate project updates, safety issues, and upcoming milestones.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in commercial construction.

Supervising experience with a track record of managing large teams and subcontractors effectively.

Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore is not required but a plus.

Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.

Familiarity with contracts management and quality control procedures.

OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is required.

Excellent management skills with the ability to oversee multiple buildings simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for effective coordination among team members, clients, and stakeholders.

Construction site experience including familiarity with ground up site work.
