What will you be doing!

Project Delivery Framework Coordination & Operations

Planning, scheduling, and coordinating qualification assessments, panels, and reviews; ensuring timeliness, completeness, and evidence integrity.

Maintaining accurate, auditable records of qualification status, evidence, decisions, and re certification cycles.

Administering equivalency/grandfathering and progression workflows in accordance with approved standards and criteria.

Training, Mentoring & Candidate Support

Coordinating with the Training Department and HR to align courses, curricula, and learning pathways to qualification requirements.

Organizing mentoring and coaching assignments; tracking participation and outcomes against development plans.

Providing candidates and line managers with guidance on requirements, evidence expectations, and timelines.

Quality, Consistency & Continuous Improvement

Identifying recurring evidence gaps or process friction and recommending improvements to forms, guidance, and workflows.

Supporting audits and management system needs by ensuring configuration control and traceability of all qualification artifacts.

Reporting & Workforce Planning Support

Maintaining dashboards and reports on qualification progress, pipeline readiness, and capability gaps.

Providing timely status to the Section Head and Missions to inform assignment readiness and workforce planning.

Flagging risk areas (e.g., expiring credentials, capacity constraints for assessments, training bottlenecks) with proposed mitigations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Execution Discipline

Coordinating cross functional working groups (e.g., assessors, mentors, Mission reps) to execute the framework and resolve issues.

Ensuring qualification expectations are communicated clearly and applied consistently across departments and Missions.

Supporting change initiatives to update standards, templates, and tools in line with evolving enterprise needs.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related discipline.

Professional certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is considered an asset.

Experience

3-5 years in project management, Project Management Office (PMO)/Project Delivery Office (PDO) operations, training/competency management, or related coordination roles.

Experience organizing assessments, coordinating training and mentoring, and managing records/evidence.

Experience in a matrixed environment.

Experience in a regulated industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong coordination, organization, and follow through; able to manage multiple candidates/activities concurrently.

Demonstrated abilities in clear written and verbal communication; effective facilitation with senior and technical stakeholders.

Analytical skills to review qualification evidence and identify gaps.

Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and document controls for traceable, auditable records.

Working knowledge of project management practices, lifecycle governance, and project categorization.

Familiarity with training design/delivery, mentoring, and capability development methods.

Understanding of enterprise records/evidence expectations and management system discipline.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

Number of days onsite: Four (4).

Location: Hybrid

Located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, our Chalk River site offers a beautiful natural setting with forests, lakes, and wildlife right at your doorstep. Surrounding communities such as Deep River, Petawawa, and Pembroke provide access to excellent recreation and a great quality of life.

Please note: This is a hybrid position, with a combination of remote work and onsite presence at our Chalk River Laboratory, Ontario.
