Position Highlights

Department: Environmental Services

Hours: 8.00 per week

Position Summary

With direct supervision-and according to established procedures-performs a variety of projects and maintain the Hospital in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. Strips and refinishes tile floors; shampoos, extracts and buffs carpets; washes walls. May perform any or all duties of Environmental Technicians.

Minimum Qualifications

Six months experience in Environmental Services Department preferred.

Must be able to understand and respond to basic verbal and written English language instructions, and be able to read, understand and apply directions for proper mixing and use of chemicals.

High School diploma or equivalent required within two years of hire.

Must understand and be able to apply concepts of periodic and restorative maintenance techniques for floor, carpet and wall care.

Must demonstrate skills and knowledge for proper use of chemicals and equipment required by position.

Must have ability to perform physical requirements of position as outlined below.
