Controls Technician

HiFyve is hiring a Controls Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Columbus, OH!

Pay: $34-$36/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM (Mon-Fri + mandatory OT)

Location: Columbus, OH

About the Role

This role supports plant operations through electrical and automation troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems

Support PLC and robot programming/troubleshooting

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment

Install and modify control panels, relays, and electrical systems

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects

Maintain documentation and ensure system updates are captured

Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and electrical standards

Qualifications

Associate degree or 1-2+ years of related experience

Strong electrical troubleshooting and controls knowledge

Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation

Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and safety practices

Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations

Strong communication and problem-solving skills
