Job Description
This full-time Machine Operator role on the first shift runs Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime on Saturdays as needed. You operate a computerized production machine, monitor material flow on conveyors, and support basic maintenance and die changes in a warehouse manufacturing environment. You work closely with a small team on the line, receive hands-on training from an experienced operator, and help ensure safe, efficient, and accurate daily production.
Responsibilities
Operate a computerized production machine by entering job information and verifying that all settings match the work order.
Monitor the machine and conveyors while the line is running to ensure consistent material flow and product quality.
Maintain a simple daily production log on a clipboard, accurately recording what work was completed and what remains for the next day.
Inspect materials and finished products visually and through basic checks to confirm they meet quality standards.
Follow written and verbal directions to set up, run, and shut down the machine safely and efficiently.
Assist with changing dies in the machine using a forklift and crane, working closely with the rest of the team during changeovers.
Perform basic machine maintenance tasks such as lockout/tagout procedures and switching out chain links, escalating more complex issues to management or maintenance.
Help clean and scrape dies at the end of the shift to prepare equipment for the next production run.
Collaborate with 4–5 other laborers on the line to keep product moving smoothly and to resolve minor issues as they arise.
Use computer and basic technology tools as needed to operate the machine and complete production-related tasks.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment and safe work practices around robotic equipment and material handling.
Support general labor tasks on the line as needed to maintain a steady and efficient workflow.
Essential Skills
1–2 years of previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Ability to operate production machinery and follow established operating procedures.
Basic computer and technology skills to work with a computerized machine interface.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with moving parts, dies, and basic machine components.
General problem-solving skills to identify and address minor issues during production.
Ability to follow directions accurately, both written and verbal.
Capability to assist with forklift operations for setting dies, with appropriate training or experience.
Willingness and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including lockout/tagout and simple component changes.
Comfort working as part of a small team on a production line.
Reliability to work a 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday–Friday schedule with overtime on Saturdays as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with inspection and quality checks in a production environment.
Experience in general labor or warehouse work.
Familiarity with robotic equipment or automated material handling systems.
Experience using a forklift and overhead crane in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
Ability to maintain clear, accurate written records of daily production activities.
Comfort learning and applying basic safety procedures such as lockout/tagout.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse-style production facility with a computerized machine and a robotic arm that picks up bags of materials at the end of the conveyor line. The process is fully safeguarded for safety. The environment is fairly clean with some dust, and large overhead doors are typically open while still providing protection from rain and the elements. The first shift team works alongside a small group of coworkers, and a second shift operates as a three-person team. Temperatures can vary: it stays relatively warm in the winter but can be cold at times, and it becomes hot in the summer, so you must be comfortable working in heat. The dress code is jeans and a T-shirt. The company provides a hard hat and safety glasses, while you must wear steel-toed shoes. Standard hours are 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime on Saturdays as needed.Job Type & Location
