Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $24.75/hour

Shift: 6:00PM-6:30AM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Job Summary

The machine operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring blending equipment to produce food grade products according to established formulas and production schedules. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, safety, and consistency in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Job Duties

Operate industrial blending and mixing equipment in accordance with recipes, batch sheets, and standard operating procedures.

Accurately measure, weigh, and add ingredients to blends following strict quality and food safety standards.

Monitor blending processes, including temperature, timing, and ingredient integration, and make adjustments as required.

Perform pre operation checks, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting of blending equipment.

Document batch information, ingredient usage, and production data accurately and in real time.

Inspect raw materials and finished blends for quality, consistency, and specification compliance.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and GMP requirements at all times.

Complete cleaning, sanitation, and allergen control procedures between batches and at shift end.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, quality, and upstream or downstream production teams.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safety focused work area throughout the shift.

Qualifications

Experience in food manufacturing, blending, batching, or industrial mixing preferred.

Ability to read and follow batch sheets, formulas, and written work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.

Comfortable working overnight shifts in a production environment.

Ability to lift bags, ingredients, and materials and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

Production floor setting with exposure to food ingredients, machinery noise, and varying temperatures.

Overnight shift schedule with standing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy materials.

PPE required, including hairnets, gloves, and other safety or food grade equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elma, NY.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.10 - $23.10/hr.
