Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Support Construction Area for transportation projects by assisting with the coordination, monitoring, and administration of multiple construction projects.

Track project progress and conduct daily site visits to ensure activities align with schedules, requirements, and standards.

Provide status updates on the overall portfolio of projects within the Construction Area in order to streamline processes such as certifications, change orders, and other documents generated during the construction phase.

Prepare, review, and provide status updates on construction-related documentation, including certifications, change orders, and reports.

Coordinate with internal teams, regional offices, contractors, and other stakeholders to support timely project execution and issue resolution.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

10 years of experience in construction projects.

Experience working on FHWA-funded projects and transportation projects.

Ability to manage and follow up on multiple projects simultaneously.

Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required to conduct field visits to different projects.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Quickbase, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Bilingual English-Spanish (strong command of spelling and writing).

Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.

Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools.Company Description
