We are Looking for a Video Editor! Seeking a highly collaborative individual who can work across several departmental channels while expressing the utmost creativity in quality digital video editing. Close attention to detail and ability to also work well independently will make this person successful in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaboratively work on projects with other video editors, designers, animators and program managers

Developing shot lists and storyboards for video production and animation

Editing live action video footage with appropriate with timing and pacing, in order to tell a compelling story - with minimal direction or guidance

Producing or sourcing sound effects and background music where appropriate for animations.

Recording voice overs for narration where necessary (not common) and color correcting videos

Presenting edited videos for review and editing based on feedback in a timely manner

Creating motion graphics (i.e. titles, transitions and lower thirds) for videos where applicable

Delivering edited videos in a consistent and timely manner, ensuring quality while always meeting deadlines

Proactively staying abreast new video editing technologies, tools and trends Qualifications and Experience:

6+ years experience working professionally as a Video Editor

An online portfolio that showcases strong and diverse video editing work

Experience editing live-action video footage

Proficiency in Adobe CS (i.e. Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder)

Ability to drive creative direction on any project with excellent storytelling and storyboarding skills

Understanding of video encoding formats and knowledge of video editing principles

Talent for sound design; understanding of audio best practices in music, sound effects and narration

Basic animation skills with the ability to create motion graphics, and color correction skills

Ability to work with animators on the team for more detailed/advanced motion graphics

Ability and drive to build in efficiency into video editing processes and workflows

Experience working within a brand; successfully adhering to brand guidelines while creatively pushing the envelope

Excellent project management skills; ability to independently guide workload and prioritization

Strong communication skills, Resourceful, Self-motivated, and Adaptable

Ability to positively receive and incorporate feedback in a timely manner

Comfortable using Mac OSX and Google suite Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced color correction skills and animation skills

Solid creative problem solving skills with ability to identify solutions that work for multiple stakeholders

Proficiency in Camtasia and ability to record and edit screencasts for instructional tutorials

Understanding of design principles, basic graphic design and ability to use design tools like Illustrator and Figma

Compensation & Benefits:

This full time role offers a salary range of $85,000 - $98,000, depending on experience level.
