Agricultural, Heavy, and Nursery Equipment Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking Equipment Operators to join our nursery operations team. This role is responsible for safely operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting small, heavy, and specialized equipment to support the production of high-quality fruit and nut trees.

This is a hands-on role that includes equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and general equipment upkeep. This is a stable, year-round position supporting ongoing nursery operations.

The position may be filled at the Equipment Operator II or III level depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and demonstrated ability.

What You Will Do

Operate small, heavy, and specialized equipment including forklifts, tractors, loaders, excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, scrapers, harvesters, air blast sprayers, and diggers

Load, unload, and haul palletized materials

Move and position raw materials and finished products

Perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment

Identify, diagnose, and document equipment errors, defects, and malfunctions

Properly adjust equipment based on job requirements

Record equipment usage and maintenance performed

Work to meet project goals and timelines; communicate any obstacles proactively

Maintain clean and organized work areas at the end of each shift or task

Store equipment properly in designated areas following company procedures

Support nursery projects and assist with additional assigned tasks

Follow all safety standards, company policies, and procedures; report safety concerns as needed
