Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer (Mechanical / Sheet Metal)

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our design department. The candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing designs related to fabrication, automation, and sheet metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA

• Develop sheet metal designs without overlaps and ensure manufacturability

• Prepare production drawings, bending drawings, and DXF files

• Work closely with the production team for design validation and improvements

• Create and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and assist in costing

• Understand fabrication processes like cutting, bending, welding, etc.

• Support automation project design and development

• Ensure accuracy and quality in all design outputs

Requirements:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering

• Good knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication

• Hands-on experience with CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / CATIA)

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes

• Ability to learn quickly and work in a team

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of laser cutting, CNC bending, and fabrication processes

• Experience in automation or machine design is a plus

• Good problem-solving skills

Experience:

• Fresher or up to 2 years of experience
