Job Overview

Duties

Assist lead teachers in preparing classroom materials and setting up engaging activities that promote childhood development and early learning skills

Support children with daily routines, including diapering, feeding, and nap times, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times

Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children

Provide one-on-one support for children with special needs or disabilities, implementing individualized care plans under supervision

Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures when necessary

Engage children in educational play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and other activities that stimulate cognitive and emotional growth

Collaborate with team members to monitor developmental milestones and communicate observations to lead teachers or caregivers

Requirements

Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments is highly preferred

Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices

Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus

Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques

Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers effectively

Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for nurturing young learners’ growth and well-being

Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or classroom needs; patience and enthusiasm are essential
