Corporate Associate (Mid-Level) Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: $265,000 to $300,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

A broad-based corporate practice is seeking a mid-level associate with 5 to 7 years of experience, with meaningful exposure to venture capital and emerging companies work. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background across equity financings, M&A, and general corporate transactional matters. Roughly 40 to 60 percent of the candidate's experience should involve representing emerging growth companies and venture capital investors in equity financings from seed through Series B and beyond. Candidates should be comfortable leading primary transaction documents and managing deals from term sheet through closing, including SAFEs, convertible notes, and preferred stock financings.

Beyond VC work, the role also calls for solid experience in M&A and advising emerging companies on governance, cap table management, startup lifecycle issues, and other business and strategic matters. Experience on both the company and investor side is preferred.

Strong client management skills and a genuine interest in building long-term client relationships and growing into a well-rounded business lawyer are essential.
