Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting and laminating equipment to produce products that meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Functions
Operate industrial machinery including laminators and die cutters according to specifications
Set up equipment and ensure proper alignment, calibration, and safety prior to operation
Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances
Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and basic maintenance on equipment
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adapt to changing production needs and support team objectives
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and productive work environment
Responsibilities
Verify job order documentation and materials prior to production
Interpret engineering drawings, job orders, and production instructions
Load and unload raw materials and finished products
Change rolls and anvils per job specifications
Conduct quality checks using visual and manual inspection methods
Operate hand and power tools as required
Assist in training new employees as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and job specifications
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience operating industrial machinery
7am to 3:30pm EST
