**About Us**
Premier Construction Services is a growing residential remodeling company based out of Blaine, WA. Our owner is a carpenter by trade and takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship on every project. We work primarily in Blaine and throughout Whatcom County, and we're building a team that reflects our commitment to doing things right.
**About the Role**
This position starts at 3 days per week with a clear path to full-time as our project pipeline continues to grow. We're not looking to fill a slot — we're looking for someone to build with us long-term. You'll work alongside the owner in the field, and as trust is built, you'll naturally take on more site responsibility with a path toward a lead or foreman role for the right person.
If you're a skilled carpenter who wants steady, quality work with a company that values craftsmanship and treats people right — this is worth a conversation.
**What You'll Be Doing**
• Finish and rough carpentry across a variety of residential remodeling projects
• Window and door installation and replacement
• Exterior trim and siding installation
• Interior trim and molding — baseboards, casings, crown, and built-ins
• Cabinet installation
• Flooring installation
• Drywall patching and finishing as needed
• Painting assistance as needed
• Working from blueprints and detailed scopes of work
• Coordinating with subcontractors on site (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, paint)
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Holding down the site and keeping work moving on days the owner is handling estimates and project management
• Representing Premier Construction Services professionally in client homes
**What We're Looking For**
• 5+ years of residential remodeling or finish carpentry experience
• Hands-on experience with windows, doors, siding, and exterior trim
• Comfortable with flooring installation - Floating laminate and LVP floors specifically
• Ability to work independently and make good decisions when needed, keeps site clean and safe.
• Strong problem-solving skills — you figure things out without waiting to be told
• Experience reading blueprints and working from detailed scopes
• Comfortable coordinating with other trades on active job sites
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in quality work
• Own tools required; reliable transportation required
• Valid driver's license
**Nice to Have**
• Experience as a lead carpenter or working foreman
• Drywall finishing and painting experience
• OSHA 10 certification
• Familiarity with residential permitting in Whatcom County
**What We Offer**
• Start at 3 days per week
• Work primarily in Blaine with some projects throughout Whatcom County
• Work side by side with an owner who knows the trade — no micromanagement, just high standards
• Variety of projects — kitchens, baths, additions, windows, doors, siding, and whole-home remodels
• A small team where your work is noticed and valued
• Real opportunity to grow into a lead role as the company expands
If you show up on time, do quality work, and take pride in what you build — we want to hear from you.
