Job Overview:
The Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer designs, builds, and supports scalable ERP solutions that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. This role is hands-on across X++ development, integrations, and DevOps practices, partnering closely with functional leads, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, maintainable, and well-governed solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Dynamics 365 F&O solutions using X++ (extensions-first approach).
Collaborate with business analysts to solidify requirements, produce technical specifications, and deliver tested enhancements.
Design and implement integrations between D365 F&O and enterprise systems using APIs and middleware patterns (Azure-native where appropriate).
Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and deployment support to ensure high-quality delivery.
Document customizations, configurations, and development standards to maintain strong technical records.
Work within a Git-based development workflow (feature branches + pull requests) and align to team DevOps standards.
Leverage Copilot (e.g., Microsoft Copilot / GitHub Copilot where available) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and support troubleshooting—while ensuring outputs are reviewed, secure, and compliant.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of proven experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
Strong proficiency in X++ development & modern engineering practices (SDLC, version control, peer review).
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate) for workflow automation and extensibility patterns.
Practical experience with Azure services used in integration and automation (e.g., Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus).
Strong experience using Git (branching, pull requests, resolving conflicts) in a team environment.
Experience with SQL concepts for data analysis and troubleshooting (queries, data modeling fundamentals).
Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.

Core Competencies
Strong engineering fundamentals: maintainable design, testing discipline, performance-minded development.
Clear documentation habits and communication skills—able to explain technical approaches to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable operating in a governed environment (standards, reviews, change control).
Preferred
Microsoft certification(s) aligned to D365 development.
Experience with Azure DevOps for pipelines, work items, and release coordination.
Knowledge of integration tooling and patterns across D365 + Power Platform + Azure Integration Services.
Experience in finance and/or insurance domain environments.
