Job Purpose: The A&R Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and signing strategic songwriting and producer talent to grow the company’s catalog and maximize long-term creative and financial returns. This role combines creative vision, commercial judgment, and administrative discipline, directly contributing to Net Publisher’s Share (NPS) growth and overall Creative and Synch objectives.
What You’ll Do:
Talent Scouting & Signing
Continuously map the Medellín creative ecosystem and key territories.
Build and maintain a strategic pipeline of songwriters and producers.
Develop relationships with managers, labels, studios, and creative hubs.
Lead initial negotiations and prepare creative and commercial rationales for internal approvals.
Ensure each signing includes a clear monetization strategy.
KPIs: Number of strategic signings; % with cuts within 12 months; NPS projection vs.
performance.
Creative Development & Positioning
Organize and coordinate strategic writing sessions locally and internationally.
Connect roster talent with key artists, producers, and labels.
Design individualized development plans for signed talent.
Track creative deliverables and release activity.
KPIs: Sessions generated; cuts per quarter; major/strategic releases; international activity.
Administrative & ROI Support
Support preparation of Deal Memos and financial projections.
Assist in basic ROI modeling under multiple revenue scenarios.
Track advance recoupment and financial performance vs. projections.
Coordinate with Legal and Administration to ensure contractual execution.
KPIs: Time from approval to signature; % of deals meeting projections; documentation efficiency.
Synch Integration
Identify catalog works suitable for audiovisual opportunities.
Proactively pitch songs for TV, film, advertising, and digital platforms.
Collaborate with Synch team on creative pitching materials.
Ensure accurate metadata and asset readiness.
KPIs: Songs pitched; licenses secured; synch revenue generated.
Market Intelligence
Monitor consumption trends in Medellín and LATAM.
Analyze DSP and social data to identify organic growth opportunities.
Provide quarterly market insights and competitive analysis.
Success in this Role Will Be Defined By:

Who You Are:
Profile & Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in A&R, music publishing, artist management, or label environments, with a strong understanding of the music industry landscape.
Strong network and deep knowledge of the Medellín creative community and regional music scene.
Strategic and commercial mindset, with basic financial literacy (ROI, deal structures, projections).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas, draft materials, and collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and execute across diverse projects.
Proactive and creative problem-solver, with the ability to identify opportunities, drive initiatives, and suggest improvements.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse environment, with a high level of adaptability and ownership.
Fluency in Spanish and intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong integrity, professionalism, and ability to build relationships across all levels.
