PRESS OPERATOR

Job Description

Summary:

Perform all tasks involved in the stamping operation at BAL. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to policies, daily work place organization & housekeeping; health and safety commitment; personal cleanliness & appearance; attendance & punctuality plus 100% first

time quality commitment.

Ability to operate a Forklift

Familiar with HMI’s on Production Equipment

Ability to use Vernier Calipers

Performs work as assigned by department supervisor.

Complies with work instructions.

Addresses problem situations quickly and notifies supervisor or management immediately.

Meets productivity requirements, committed to and produces quality work.

Conduct duties in a safe manner, follow all safety procedures, report incidents immediately, wears proper PPE and conducts duties to their level of training.

Other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

This position reports directly to the responsible Production Press Supervisor and works directly with

the staff in the Production department.

COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE:

Must be organized and show initiative.

Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work well with others.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Minimum High School Diploma

Manufacturing experience preferred (2 Years minimum)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (Physical, etc.):

Must be able to work weekends and rotating shifts.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Must be able to be on feet for 8 hours or more.
