Java Developer

Job Title: Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot, Kafka)

Location: Richardson, TX - 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote

Duration: 10 Months (High chance of extension)

Job Description

We are looking for a strong Java Developer with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience (no support/background roles) to join a fast-paced engineering team. The candidate must be comfortable working onsite 4 days per week in Richardson, TX and be able to contribute independently to backend microservices development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot

Build scalable and high-performance backend services using Java 8

Develop and integrate Kafka-based messaging solutions

Work with MongoDB for data storage and retrieval

Leverage AWS services (S3 primarily) in application development

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems

Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of core Java software development experience

Strong expertise in Spring Framework / Spring Boot

Kafka experience is mandatory

Experience developing microservices architecture

Working knowledge of MongoDB

Exposure to AWS services (S3)

Ability to work independently and solve complex problems

Strong communication and collaboration skills
