Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper for a short-term contract assignment (2-3 months). This role will support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Assist with general ledger entries and journal postings
Prepare basic financial reports and summaries
Support month-end close processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Assist with payroll processing (if experience applicable)
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Sage, NetSuite, ADP preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
Payroll experience preferred
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
