Overview:

A well-established organization is seeking a Senior Regulatory & Compliance Program Manager to lead and oversee compliance initiatives across a diverse product portfolio. This role plays a critical part in ensuring adherence to domestic and international regulatory requirements, supporting product integrity, and minimizing compliance risk. The position is open due to a planned retirement and includes leadership responsibility for a small team.

Job Duties:

· Act as the internal subject matter expert for regulatory compliance, including certifications and environmental reporting requirements.

Oversee and maintain product certification programs, ensuring ongoing compliance and proper documentation.

Manage packaging compliance programs, including database oversight and coordination of annual state-level reporting requirements.

Support international compliance efforts, including export regulations and material-related requirements.

Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and translate changes into clear, actionable guidance for internal stakeholders.

Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Product

Development to ensure compliance is embedded throughout operations.

Partner with external consultants and regulatory bodies while maintaining ownership of internal compliance strategy.

Participate in occasional travel (up to ~15%) to support business needs.

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, quality, or related fields within a regulated product environment.

Demonstrated expertise in certification programs, environmental compliance, and regulatory reporting.

Strong project management capabilities; formal certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business processes.

Experience reviewing technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.

Proven ability to operate independently and drive initiatives to completion.

Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Background in engineering or quality disciplines preferred; experience with plastics or similar materials is a plus.

Industry experience within food production, commercial equipment, or hospitality environments is advantageous.
