Standard Job Description FLEET SUPERVISOR

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for managing AGB's fleet of vehicles. This individual analyzes diagnostic information to help determine ways to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness. Supervises assigned fleet staff, provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range. This position requires knowledge and understanding of daily operations and AGB's policies and procedures.

GENERAL DUTIES

* Maintains the inventory of vehicles.

* Establish communication and appointments with Fleet Vendors in relation to the needs of Fleet.

* Plans and assigns vehicle usage to sites and/or AGB personnel to maximize efficiency and minimize mileage driven.

* Documents vehicle damage or safety hazards and reports it immediately to the Fleet and Dispatch Manager.

* Monitors and evaluates the condition of AGB fleet vehicles and motorized equipment.

* Works with the Fleet and Dispatch Manager to assist in developing specifications for new, unwanted or replacement vehicles and fleet equipment.

* Ensures all AGB Fleet vehicles are identifiable both physically and electronically; including striped and equipped with a lighting package in a timely manner.

* Re-enforces vehicle operation awareness to reduce vehicle idling time and conservative driving habits such as gradual acceleration, braking and strict adherence to speed limits.

* Ensures that all fleet operators are completing the inspection forms for AGB Fleet vehicles prior to and post of operation.

* Distributes the AGB Authorized Driver Agreement, obtaining and reviewing Motor Vehicle Abstract (Driver's Abstract), and the issuance of a Driver ID (FOB) and/or Replacement Driver ID.

* Assists with the communication of policies, company announcements and job openings.

* Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.

* Creates schedules and approves time for assigned fleet staff.

* Provides input concerning the yearly performance evaluation of assigned employees.

* Leads by example and establishes an environment that promotes Professionalism Accountability Communication Teamwork (PACT).

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* High School Diploma or G.E.D. test certificate required. Associate degree preferred.

* Minimum of two (2) years' experience servicing and repairing vehicles and equipment in a commercial, industrial, or municipal environment required.

* Minimum of one (1) year previous supervisory experience preferred.

* United States citizenship.

* 18 years of age at the time of application submission.

* Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
