Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and support new product introductions in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
Identify and implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Support production by troubleshooting process issues and driving root cause corrective actions
Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures
Collaborate with quality, production, supply chain, and engineering teams
Evaluate and recommend tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements
Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Participate in capacity planning and layout optimization projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)
Experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or assembly environments
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools
Familiarity with root cause analysis, quality systems, and process validation
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred Skills
Experience with CAD/CAM or process simulation tools
Knowledge of Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
Hands-on shop floor experience
Understanding of automation and production equipment
