Job Description
I’m currently working with a well-established national law firm that is looking to add a mid-level Corporate / Securities Associate (5+ years) to its corporate practice in Chicago or New York.
The group handles a broad range of corporate matters including private securities offerings, corporate governance work, and general transactional matters, and they are looking for someone who enjoys working across a variety of corporate and finance-related transactions.
This role offers exposure to sophisticated clients, strong mentorship from experienced partners, and a collaborative deal team environment.
Highlights of the opportunity include:
• Work on private securities offerings and corporate transactional matters
• Draft and negotiate agreements including shareholder agreements and related corporate documentation
• Assist with capital raising transactions and investor-related matters
• Participate in due diligence and transaction execution
• Opportunity to work closely with partners on complex matters and supervise junior team members
Qualifications
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of law firm experience in corporate, securities, or related transactional work
• Experience with corporate governance, securities matters, or lending/finance transactions preferred
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
Location: Chicago or New York (hybrid)
Compensation: Base salary expected to be in the $285K – $305K range, plus bonus and full benefits.
