Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within the classroom

Assist students individually or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff

Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in class activities

Implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) when applicable

Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs

Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum age of 18 years

TB test compliant with district requirements

Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary

Required clearances current or obtainable before starting

Preferred Experience:

Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments

Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges

Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not mandatory

Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
