Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned HCL-focused contractor with 7 years of experience to assess, stabilize, and enhance an existing application environment through detailed analysis, code review, and deployment optimization. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to deliver actionable recommendations while transferring knowledge to internal teams.

Duties:

Analyze and document current application environments (development, test, production), including configurations, integrations, and system dependencies

Evaluate existing deployment processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and reliability

Review and assess application code to identify defects, risks, technical debt, and optimization opportunities, and implement necessary enhancements

Troubleshoot environment-related issues, deployment failures, and configuration inconsistencies

Conduct structured knowledge transfer sessions to ensure long-term system maintainability

Provide best practice recommendations for improving code stability, environment management, and deployment automation

Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for system improvement

Develop comprehensive documentation outlining findings, remediation strategies, and improvement plansRequired Skills:

7 years of experience with CI/CD tools or automated deployment frameworks

7 years of prior consulting or contractor experience supporting environment modernization or technical remediation initiatives

7 years of strong hands-on experience with HCL technologies (e.g., VOLT/IRIS, Foundry)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

7 years of experience configuring environments and evaluating application deployment pipelines

Proven ability to communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
