Job Description
The Kitchen Manager leads and coordinates all back-of-house operations, ensuring smooth daily execution, exceptional food quality, strict adherence to food safety standards, and strong leadership of the kitchen team. This position oversees staff performance, manages food and inventory costs, and guarantees that every dish meets established quality and presentation expectations. This candidate MUST speak fluent Spanish.
Core Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
Direct day-to-day kitchen activities, including prep, cooking, and plating
Maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, and overall food quality
Implement, and enforce standardized recipes and portion guidelines
Team Leadership & Staffing
Hire, train, schedule, and manage all kitchen personnel
Deliver continuous coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action when required
Promote a collaborative, respectful, and professional kitchen environment
Food Safety & Sanitation
Ensure full compliance with local health codes and safety regulations
Keep kitchen, prep, and storage areas clean, organized, and hazard-free
Perform routine inspections and resolve any concerns promptly
Inventory Management & Cost Control
Purchase food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as needed
Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and manage food cost targets
Track kitchen-related expenses and support budgeting efforts
Quality Assurance
Maintain allergen awareness and enforce proper food handling procedures
Equipment & Maintenance
Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained properly
Identify equipment issues and coordinate repairs in a timely manner
