As an Apprentice Engineer, you support the smooth operation of the property by assisting with troubleshooting, maintenance, installations, and repairs across guest rooms, restaurants, casino areas, and back-of-house spaces. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members alike. Your commitment to learning, following safety protocols, and completing tasks with care plays an important role in upholding the property's operational standards and guest service excellence.
Job Description:
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provide timely and courteous guest service consistent with the company's guest service culture
Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, casino spaces, and back-of-house areas
Perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC systems under supervision
Support cosmetic repairs and assist with installations of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as directed
Assist with pool and spa maintenance in accordance with operational and safety guidelines
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1-3 years of general maintenance or facilities support experience preferred
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
Committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safety-conscious work environment
Requirements
This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana
At least 21 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
