We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as Safety Town Camp Counselors for our summer program. Safety Town is a fun and engaging program designed to teach young children about safety awareness in various situations. Camp Counselors play a vital role in creating a positive and educational experience for our campers.

Position Summary:

Safety Town Camp Counselors will lead and supervise groups of children in grades k-1 through various safety-related activities, including Bike Safety, Police & Fire Safety, Bus, Railroad & Playground Safety, Stranger Awareness, and Home Safety. Counselors will ensure the safety and well-being of campers while fostering a fun and educational environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage campers in all scheduled activities.

Lead small group discussions and activities related to safety topics.

Assist with set-up and clean-up of program areas.

Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, adhering to established safety protocols.

Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude while interacting with campers, parents, and staff.

Implement the provided curriculum and activity plans.

Report any incidents or concerns to the Camp Coordinator.

Assist with camper drop-off and pick-up as needed.

Participate in staff training and meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to lead and supervise groups of children effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Enthusiasm for teaching and promoting safety awareness.

First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Must pass a background check as required by Ohio law.

Camp Dates/Times:

June 22 - 26

Sessions: 8:30 - 11:30 AM OR 12:30 - 3:30 PM

Pay:

Up to $1000
