Be a Champion of Wellness! Summer Wellness Camp Teachers Needed (Grades 2-6)

Are you passionate about helping children develop a healthy and happy lifestyle?

SWL Schools is seeking enthusiastic and qualified teachers to join our team for our exciting Summer Wellness Camp! If you're dedicated to promoting physical well-being, emotional wellness, mindfulness, and social development in children, then we want you on our team!

About Summer Wellness Camp:

Our camp offers a unique program designed to empower students in grades 3-6 to build a foundation for lifelong wellness. Campers will participate in a variety of engaging activities that address the whole child, including:

Physical Wellness: Fun and energetic yoga classes, cardio dance sessions, and games that promote healthy movement habits.

Emotional Wellness: Mindfulness exercises, relaxation techniques, and activities that foster self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Healthy Eating Habits: Interactive workshops on healthy snack preparation, exploring nutritious choices, and the importance of a balanced diet.

Social Wellness: Collaborative arts and crafts projects, problem-solving challenges, and team-building games that promote positive peer interaction and collaboration.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Activities and discussions focused on developing social and emotional skills, self-regulation strategies, and healthy communication practices.

Responsibilities of a Summer Wellness Camp Teacher:

Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that integrate all aspects of wellness.

Lead fun and interactive activities related to physical activity, mindfulness, healthy eating, arts & crafts, and social-emotional learning.

Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment that celebrates individuality and teamwork.

Supervise campers and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.

Help campers develop self-awareness, coping mechanisms, and positive social interaction skills.

Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure a seamless program experience.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and social-emotional learning.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead engaging and interactive lessons.

Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
