Substitute Teacher

Job Description

Summary

A substitute teacher will take the place of an ill teacher or a teacher on vacation. It is not a full time position and hours are between 7:30am and 6:00pm. The hours worked on any given day are preset shifts.

Duties

Assist Teachers in implementing curriculum and daily duties

Ensure all center policies and state regulations are followed

Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards

Ensure the safety and security of children

Requirements

High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents) and to foster a team environment

Must clear full background check and must pass health screening

Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, talk to and hear voices at many levels. Able to get down and back up from the floor easily

A specific vision ability will be required to see up close and up to a certain distance, have peripheral vision and depth perception
