Data Platform Modelling Manager

We are seeking a Data Platform Manager to oversee Data Modelling and manage a team. This person will inherit and existing team and continue to scale!

Location: Canada (remote)

Compensation: Up to 200K

The role:

Lead the evolution and optimization of existing data models, prioritizing scalability and reuse over ad hoc rebuilds.

Develop and maintain robust dimensional models, including fact and dimension tables, as well as scalable semantic layers.

Partner closely with data science teams to enable production-grade AI/ML workflows.

Transform complex, unstructured, and low-quality data into standardized, analytics-ready datasets.

Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of models across the organization.

The skills:

Extensive experience in Python, SQL, Airflow, Spark

Strong experience in Data Modelling with the primary usage being in a modern data platform

Experience with raw and messy datasets

Deep knowledge of core models, semantic layers, data architecture and real time enrichment

Multiple years in leadership overseeing a team of direct reports
