The Office of School and District Improvement is hiring for a Grants Manager who will serve as an unclassified employee pursuant to Section 124.11 (A) (9) O.R.C. and perform the following duties:
Manages and coordinates school improvement funding and processes, including but not limited to:
· Supports schools and districts in developing and maintaining budgets for federal and state grants aligned with district improvement plans;
· Manages annual grant life cycle calendar;
· Create and continuously update and monitor the grant review spreadsheet, summer extension tracker and
· Collaborate with the management analyst to compile data to identify grantee risk factors for grant monitoring;
· Collaborate on grant monitoring through survey review and scoring, create monitoring agendas, send monitoring invitations, notification letters and attend monitoring sessions;
· Provides regular and relevant technical assistance and support to districts and schools via email, phone calls, and meetings (virtual and in-person);
· Evaluates implementation efforts of programs and recommends improvements:
o Establishes data collection and reporting process for the grant awardees;
o Analyzes data to provide improvement recommendations to internal and external entities;
· Develops and implements policy related to school improvement grant funding;
· Conducts trainings for district and school-based personnel related to policies, procedures, best practices, curriculum and data reporting;
· Facilitates peer-to-peer network collaborative learning opportunities for school improvement grant recipients;
· Collaborates with DEW offices engaged in collaborative monitoring (plan implementation and grant spending) process including, Federal Programs, and Community Schools.
· Supports the Assistant Director of School Improvement and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) as they develop and implement an MTSS for the State of Ohio, and other School Improvement initiatives, such as the:
o One Needs Assessment (ONA), and
o Support Schools Tool
· Collaborates with team members in the Office of School and District Improvement in activities related to School Improvement
· Unusual Working Conditions: Requires travel throughout State of Ohio and may require overnight stay. (Must be willing and able to secure a valid Driver’s License OR supply your own transportation.)

Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree (e.g., business administration, public administration, political science, education or related field); and 3 years of experience performing any combination of the following:
Managing contracts or grants in an educational setting
Administering federal grants and/or programs
Facilitating or managing work groups across multiple department levels
Project management
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree (e.g., business administration, public administration, political science, education or related field)
Project Management certification

The work location of this position is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected.
