This position is a full-time, direct hire onsite opportunity with 50% travel to other locations. We are seeking a qualified continuous improvement manufacturing engineer to provide leadership for plant-level improvement initiatives and support new product launches. This role will act as the principal resource for Continuous Improvement team training and collaborate with plant teams to maintain enhancements achieved through ongoing improvement programs. Responsibilities include facilitating kaizen events, promoting best practice standardization across all facilities, and assisting with new product launches to ensure key performance indicators are met.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university, along with five to ten years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, with the capacity to coach, mentor, and train fellow team members.
· Strong technical aptitude, evidenced by a comprehensive understanding of systems, equipment, and processes.
· Practical, hands-on experience and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues with complex manufacturing equipment.
· Skilled at presenting information effectively to executive management, public groups, and boards of directors.
· Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as well as principles of logical or scientific reasoning to a broad range of intellectual and practical challenges.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet usage, and AutoCAD & design software.
· In-depth knowledge and understanding of TPS/CI principles and Lean Manufacturing.
· Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
Summary of Responsibilities:
· Act as the subject matter expert in Continuous Improvement (CI).
· Organize and actively participate in kaizen events, including activities such as cycle time analysis, brainstorming, problem-solving, standard work development, setup reduction, visual management, and error-proofing within plant operations.
· Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to plant Continuous Improvement team members on TPS/CI principles.
· Facilitate best practice implementation and standardization at all facilities through consistent communication and visits to other company manufacturing plants.
· Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturing efficiencies across all plants by utilizing process improvement methodologies, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen strategies.
· Maintain and update all CI procedures and standards within the shared database.
· Support product launch initiatives at the plants to ensure processes are established to meet all cost sheet KPIs, including labor content, cycle time/PPH, and scrap rates.
· Oversee systems for providing product launch trial production data to support the maintenance of the launch report card system.
· Develop clear work instructions, conduct training, and design systems to sustain improvements over time.
· Assist with Agile tasks related to product launches, such as environmental and safety analyses, process layouts, trial reports, and PFMEAs.
· Deliver feedback to Project and Tooling Engineering Managers to ensure equipment and tooling standards are regularly updated based on implemented best practices.
· Champion initiatives to improve efficiency and safety across all plant sites.
