Quality Technician

Job Description

Duties for this position include:

• Performing in-process, final, dimensional, and visual inspections to ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards

• Inspecting finished products using calipers and other measuring equipment per blueprints, control plans, and work instructions

• Completing Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and coordinating submission of customer-requested documentation

• Supporting Quality Engineers with First Article Inspections, PPAP documentation, and quality reporting

• Identifying, segregating, and documenting nonconforming material and initiating internal nonconformance reports (INCRs)

• Conducting supplier and subcontractor inspections per approved procedures

• Maintaining detailed inspection records and entering data into ERP and QMS systems

• Supporting quality sorting, re-inspection, and rework validation activities

• Communicating quality issues to production and escalating concerns when necessary

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Performing other duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):

$20.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift

Monday – Friday

7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Overtime: Saturday and some Sunday

2nd Shift

Monday – Friday

3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Overtime: Saturday and some Sunday

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• At least 2 years of experience in a quality role, preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments

• Proficiency with measuring instruments and inspection methods

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances

• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

• Ability to manage time and meet production deadlines

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment

• Broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules

• Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime as required

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to perform constant and repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
