**Primary Function**

As an **Area Sales Manager** , you will be responsible for managing distribution channels across **general trade and modern trade** , driving sales growth, expanding market share, and delivering strong commercial results across your assigned territory.

**What You’ll Do**

+ Drive **Area Sales Targets, Market Share, and Profit Objectives** across the assigned territory

+ Develop and execute **sales strategies** to achieve growth and expand market presence

+ Manage and optimize the **distribution network** to ensure efficient product availability

+ Build and strengthen relationships with **general trade and modern trade partners**

+ Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals

+ Leverage **business analytics, customer insights, CRM, and market data** to identify growth opportunities

+ Implement marketing, customer analytics, and KPI tracking to monitor territory performance

+ Build Abbott as the **preferred supplier** across the area through strong execution and partnerships

+ Ensure **compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company standards**

+ Utilize **digital tools and engagement strategies** to deliver value to customers and stakeholders

+ Collaborate cross functionally in a **matrix organization** to drive performance and continuous transformation

+ Make sound decisions in ambiguous and evolving market conditions while maintaining strategic focus

**Major Responsibilities**

+ Deliver strong **customer, consumer, and shopper propositions** at point of purchase

+ Drive growth and market share in an increasingly complex and competitive environment

+ Balance agility and execution excellence while leading change

+ Build a **high performing, future ready sales team** with a strong talent pipeline

**Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in **Business, Science, or related disciplines**

+ Minimum **7 years of experience** in trade sales, preferably within the **FMCG industry**

+ Strong **sales track record** with proven results

+ Experience managing teams and territories with effective leadership skills

+ Strong **business acumen, enterprise thinking, and analytical skills**

+ Ability to translate **data and insights into actionable strategies**

+ Excellent **relationship building and stakeholder management** skills (internal and external)

+ Agile, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast changing environment
