Position: Catering Supervisor (Camp Catering)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee daily catering & camp operations . The role requires strong leadership, attention to food safety standards, and the ability to manage catering services in a high-volume, fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will ensure consistent service quality, maintain hygiene standards, and lead a diverse team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily catering operations across camp facilities

Ensure all food is prepared and served in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards

Lead, train, and manage kitchen and catering staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring

Oversee food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards

Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate procurement to avoid shortages or waste

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Conduct routine inspections of kitchen and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and organization

Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, implementing improvements where necessary

Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on operations, costs, and performance

Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures within the catering department

Requirements:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in camp catering, industrial catering, or large-scale food service

At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Experience in menu planning, bulk meal production, and food cost control

Ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce in a remote or camp-based environment

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands

Willingness to work in remote locations on rotational schedules

Required Certifications:

Food Safety Certification (HACCP or equivalent)

Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)

Basic First Aid Certification

Health and Safety Certification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent is an advantage)
