The team is currently setting up a new refrigeration area within the warehouse. During this transition, operations will use a temporary conveyor system that cannot automatically route totes to their destinations. Temporary staff will manually handle totes and scan them to determine the correct storage or shipment location.
Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. The role ensures orders are processed accurately and efficiently while supporting warehouse operations and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform warehouse tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise.
Verify incoming shipments against receiving documents and report discrepancies or damages.
Stock shelves with various merchandise and ensure proper inventory rotation.
Prepare orders by picking items from shelves and placing them in totes for shipment.
Process returns, perform data entry, and return items to proper storage locations.
Conduct daily inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with inventory control procedures and physical inventory when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and product integrity.
Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Work overtime when required and support warehouse operations as needed.
Understand and follow distribution center workflows while working with minimal supervision.
Support order fulfillment, stocking, replenishment, and outbound shipping processes.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read and understand English to accurately identify product descriptions, labels, and instructions.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and use sound judgment in daily tasks.
Basic computer knowledge preferred.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Must maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
