Learn more at Job Summary: The EHS Summer Intern supports the advancement of our safety management system by leading a structured High Risk Task Inventory and assessing the effectiveness of critical controls to drive meaningful, ISO 45001/14001 aligned risk reduction.

The role also enhances workforce engagement by developing clear, practical EHS communication and branding tools that strengthen safety culture and improve operational effectiveness.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities: * Support the development of a High Risk Task Inventory (HRTI) by analyzing incident data, interviewing frontline employees, and identifying tasks with potential for serious injury or fatality.

* Document critical steps, hazards, and existing controls for high risk tasks, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness and reliability of critical controls.

* Contribute to risk prioritization and help prepare executive ready summaries, heat maps, and recommended actions.

* Develop clear, engaging EHS communication materials-including posters, safety moments, and one page learnings-to support safety principles and frontline awareness.

* Collaborate with EHS, Operations, and Maintenance teams to validate findings and support ongoing safety initiatives.

* The intern will lead key components of the High Risk Task Inventory to identify serious injury exposures and evaluate critical controls across operations, while also creating practical EHS communication tools that strengthen employee engagement and support the Safety Always philosophy.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus.

* Interest in regulatory compliance related to OSHA, EPA, REACH, ISO 14001/45001, and global safety standards.

* Willingness to learn, ask questions, and engage with global teams.

Work Environment: * Professional office settingwith regular time spent in manufacturing/warehouse areas as needed.

* Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at the Stafford office.

* This is a paid internship.

* Prolonged sitting and computer work; may also require standing/walking on the manufacturing floor and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience: * Not required; prior Internship experience is a plus.

Education: * Current college student, majoring in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline, entering their Junior or Senior year/working towards a post-graduate degree.

locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $26-32/hr.

The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future.
