We are currently seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to work in a secondary school in the Durham area. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help create a positive classroom environment where every student feels confident to learn and achieve.

You will work closely with the Maths department and school leadership team to ensure continuity of learning while maintaining high standards in teaching, behaviour, and student engagement.

Working Hours

8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Ability to teach Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Strong communication and organisational skills

A proactive and professional attitude

Ability to provide two recent referencesKey Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where required)

Plan and deliver lessons that support pupils of all abilities

Encourage confidence, problem-solving, and independent learning

Create a positive and structured learning environment

Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school staff

Maintain strong behaviour management in the classroom
