Software Application Developer (TS/SCI)

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking multiple TS/SCI cleared Software Application Developers with proficiency with Java and experience in either Front-End or DevSecOps engineering.

The Application Developer will be supporting an intelligence customer out of Herndon, Virginia.

Project: Supporting classified mission java-based software systems that support enterprise and tactical level imagery and space-to-ground ISR operations.

Location: Herndon, VA (By World Gate) - Onsite Position Levels Available: Jr.

to Mid level SW Application Developers.

Responsibilities of the Application Developer: * Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

* Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

* Correct program errors, compiling documentation of program development, and analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.

* Ensure software standards are defined and met.

Required Skills and Experience: * Education: HS, Associate's, Bachelor's Degree, Master's, or PHD * Years of experience required: 2-10 years of software development/engineering * Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

(Able to upgrade to SCI from a TS/SSBI or T5) * Java development experience.

* Ability to work with XML.

* Ability to be flexible in supporting dynamic user needs.

* Strong troubleshooting skills.

* Proven experience in COTS/FOSS integration and support.

* Ability to troubleshoot and navigate multiple operating system environments including LINUX/Windows.

* Ability to learn and implement new technologies.

* Experience with REST or SOAP.

* Experience with Docker and or Kubernetes is a plus.

Additional Skill Set if Applicable: * Front-End: Java Script, React, React.JS.

* DevOps: Jenkins, Docker or Kubernetes.

Compensation: * Junior Pay Band: $120,000 - $170,000 (HS w/ 6 years, Associate's w/ 4 years, Bachelor's Degree with 1-2 years, Master's w/ 1 year) * Mid Pay Band: $160,000 - $200,000 (HS w/ 16 years, Associate's w/ 12 years, Bachelor's w/9 years, Master's w/ 7 years) Benefits: * Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, 20 days of paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave.
