A school in Hilliard, OH, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an elementary intervention specialist role. This contract position is for the remainder of the semester and focuses on supporting K-1 students, primarily those with Autism, in a structured classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License is required
Experience working with K-1 grade students
Background in special education, particularly supporting students with Autism
Ability to collaborate effectively with assigned paraprofessionals and other staff
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with Autism in grades K-1
Develop and implement specialized intervention plans tailored to students' needs
Manage a caseload of students in an elementary classroom setting
Work closely with two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to support student learning and behavior
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
Communicate regularly with school staff and families regarding student development
