Job Title: Senior Project Scheduler (Primavera P6)

Location: Columbus / New Albany, OH (100% Onsite)

Pay Rate: $56.35 - $61.35/hr (Experience must align with rate)

Term: Contract with high potential for conversion (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required; no sponsorship available)

Role Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Project Scheduler to join a high-impact Competitive Transmission Projects team. This role is critical in executing large-scale utility infrastructure projects across major regional networks (PJM, SPP, and MISO). You will serve as the primary scheduler and commodity tracker for major capital projects, ensuring that complex transmission work is delivered accurately and on time.

Typical Day & Key Responsibilities

P6 Schedule Development: Define activities, durations, and relationship logic to develop fully integrated resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6.

Critical Path Management: Utilize critical path methodology to integrate work packages and planner work lists into a seamless execution plan.

Stakeholder Interfacing: Act as the primary bridge between site execution teams, third-party contractors, and senior management to collect progress data and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Risk & Mitigation: Perform schedule risk assessments and develop "what-if" scenarios to provide project teams with recommended mitigation actions.

Reporting & Analysis: Develop and implement project status reports, providing consistent, accurate information regarding schedule performance (SPI/CPI) to the leadership team.

Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior-level schedulers on metric reporting, schedule crashing techniques, and department standards.

Candidate Requirements

Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is strictly required.

Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of scheduling experience specifically within Utilities, Power Transmission, or Heavy Construction Management.

Workforce Planning: Experience with resource loading and leveling within complex, integrated schedules.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; must be comfortable leading schedule review meetings and documenting clear action items.

Location: Must be local to the Columbus or New Albany, OH area. Due to a quick turnaround on the start date, candidates requiring relocation will not be considered.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field with 3+ years of qualified experience.

Associate’s Degree in a related field with 5+ years of qualified experience.

Professional Certifications: PMP, RMP, or CCP certifications are a significant plus but not required.

Schedule & Benefits

Standard Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (5x8s or 4x9s with a half-day Friday).

Onsite Policy: This position requires 5 days per week in the office.
