Litigation Paralegal

Expanding Plaintiff Personal Injury and Real Estate firm seeking Paralegal for immediate hire with 2+ years of experience in Plaintiff or Defense Personal Injury Litigation.

The candidate should be an excellent communicator, high energy, very organized, and extremely motivated and able to handle high volume of multiple-party motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, construction, third party out of worker’s comp, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and all other Plaintiff personal injury cases.

The candidate should want to grow with an expanding, high volume, and hard-working firm.

This is an in-office position candidate must be able to commute to downtown Chicago offices; however, work from home is offered over time with experience.

Manage a docket of high-volume litigation files, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met.

2.

Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.

3.

Coordinate and assist with written discovery.

4.

Schedule depositions, court appearances, and mediations.

5.

Obtain, review, and organize medical records and bills.

6.

Assist with trial preparation.

7.

File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing) 8.

Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:Minimum 2+ years experience in Litigation (Personal Injury preferred)Experience with discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.Familiarity with e-filing system sand court rules.Great client communication.Microsoft Office.Bilingual/Spanish-speaking preferred but not required.
