Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Building Project Engineer in our Structural Business Unit located in our O’Fallon, MO, O’Fallon, IL, Chicago, IL, NW Arkansas, Poplar Bluff, MO, Marion, IL or St.
Louis, MO office.
This position requires 10+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Follow Building Practice production and design standards and procedures as delegated by the Project ManagerPerform and check structural engineering calculations using company, client, and industry standardsParticipate in the preparation and checking of structural construction drawings created by teammates to meet firm and client requirements.Develop and check cost estimatesParticipate in the preparation of reports and studiesAssist in the management of projectsCoordinate with other engineering disciplines within the firm to assure successful completion of projects POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Missouri, or ArkansasLicensed Structural Engineer in Illinois (preferred)Experience with structural design and detailing of water or wastewater plant structures or similar structures (firm requirement)Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or MicrostationKnowledge of Structural Design SoftwareAbility to traverse structural sites, including heights and rough terrainMust possess a valid driver’s licenseMust complete a background check EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Master of Science in Civil Engineering (preferred) SALARY RANGE: Horner & Shifrin, Inc.
offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation.
The target salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000.
Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
